The Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks returned to Ford Field in the Motor City, and similar to last year's matchup between the two teams, there was a lot of offense.
However, unlike the final outcome of last season's game, the Lions won 42-29 on Monday Night Football.
The Lions improved to 3 wins and 1 loss on the year, but suffered their first loss of the year to the Seahawks.

The Lions had six touchdown drives against the Seahawks' defense, allowing just 14.3 points per game through the first three weeks of the year. And offensive coordinator Ben Johnson did his best to do that, including Amon-Ra St. Brown's touchdown pass to quarterback Jared Goff.
The “Philly Special” was played against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, but the Lions lost the “Detroit Special” because Goff threw the ball behind St. Brown for the team's fourth touchdown and ran the bases. introduced. He routed out to his left and the top wide receiver took a hit in stride for a 7-yard score to make it 28-14 at the half.

Before that, Detroit's dynamic backfield duo of David Montgomery and Jahmil Gibbs scored the first three touchdowns on the ground. First, Montgomery crossed the goal line to put Detroit ahead.
The speedy Gibbs then scored Detroit's next two touchdowns, and Detroit trailed Seattle 21-7 at halftime.
However, the game wasn't a total blowout, as Geno Smith and the Seahawks offense maintained their determination to maintain an unblemished win-loss record earlier this season.
Smith found rookie tight end AJ Barner for his first career end zone trip, and Kenneth Walker, making his season debut after an injury, scored his second touchdown on back-to-back touchdown drives in the second half. After a failed two-point conversion attempt, it made the game 28-20.

But the Lions kept finding the end zone in response and only needed one play to do so. Jameson Williams caught Goff's dig route and his speed was on full display, scoring 70 yards for the team's fifth touchdown of the night.
Walker gained 21 yards and got his third rushing score of the night, keeping his team in the game. The Seahawks reached the end zone again. However, the Lions made it 42-27 after St. Brown caught an 8-yard pass from Goff.
Goff was 18-of-18 for the Lions, gaining 292 yards with two touchdown passes, and his touchdown catch from St. Brown was his second career reception.
St. Brown had six catches for 45 yards, but Williams' 70-yard touchdown accounted for nearly all of his 80 yards to lead the Lions. On the ground, Gibbs had 78 yards rushing on 14 carries, while Montgomery had 40 yards on 12 touches. Montgomery also had a 40-yard catch-and-run, showing off his strength against numerous tacklers.
Seattle's Geno Smith set career highs in attempts (56), completions (38) and passing yards (395). But those numbers were lost after he threw an interception on a desperate drive past the two-minute warning, but Smith will probably remember more.
However, Walker returned to Seattle's offense and had 80 yards rushing on 12 carries, including three touchdowns, and caught four passes for 36 yards, giving him optimism for the future. Outlook remains.
