President Biden, who leaves office next week, will be remembered primarily for his astonishing incompetence. His destructive influence on his party, his agenda, and his voters will cast a long shadow as a new generation of officials from both parties grapples with the devastating consequences of his leadership failures.
Among the countless failures, five stand out as lessons for future leaders.
breathtaking dishonesty
Even in the world of corrupt politics, Biden stood out for his apparent lack of integrity. His administration will be synonymous with gaslighting and influence peddling.

He lied about little things, like graduating in the top half of his law school class and his leadership in the civil rights movement. He lied about personal matters, falsely claiming that his son died in Iraq and that members of his family were killed by drunk drivers.
Why do we need to expose the criminal activities of those behind Biden's disastrous presidency?
He lied about such blatantly obvious things as the inflation rate, student loan forgiveness, and a promise not to forgive his son's many crimes. He lied about things of global importance, including that the border was secure, that the Afghanistan withdrawal was successful, and that he was personally involved in spreading his family's influence. .
No information from his administration was reliable, not even the employment statistics.
he was an absentee president
He ruled the way he campaigned in 2020 from his metaphorical basement. We rarely saw him. He occasionally chose to speak at length about an issue to get the story out, but he rarely took questions.

He rarely interacted with the media, and when he did, it was only with a select few prearranged people. His constant vacations rarely included any actual work. He had little familiarity with the facts.
It is not even clear to what extent he was involved in decision-making. He spent about 40% of his time away from the White House.
he did not show leadership
He has failed in the basic tenets of presidential leadership. Our enemies did not fear us. Our allies took advantage of us. Our bureaucracy has been weaponized against us.
Biden continues to insult Americans with his last-minute actions. Republicans can stop it.
Mr. Biden made no effort to bridge the political divide. The legitimacy of his candidacy was his knowledge of Washington and his promise of unity. There is no evidence that it has succeeded in uniting the country.
He spent his political capital pursuing political opponents rather than laying the foundations for a prosperous future. Most detrimental to his party was his failure to lay the foundations for a new generation of Democratic leadership.

he adopted policies that didn't work
Even a great leader with an agenda that imports rampant crime, maintains unprecedented spending levels, pursues economically destructive energy policies, and prioritizes foreign aid over American prosperity. could not succeed.

Even if Democrats had policy ideas that actually worked, Biden clearly didn't buy into them. Immigration, crime, foreign policy, woke policy, and of course the economy all failed and were largely rejected by voters four years later.
he sabotaged our future
Biden will be remembered for ransacking the Treasury on his way out.
One EPA adviser, in an undercover video, described Biden's approach to tackling climate change as “like throwing gold off the Titanic,” a move that would have left much of the government in the waning days of the Biden administration. It seems to be a metaphor.

In a petty effort to thwart his successor, Biden has blocked offshore drilling, forced the U.S. to commit to costly climate action, engaged in long-term international conflicts, and killed millions of people living in the country illegally. flooded the country with regulations that embedded supporters. For the next five years, many people stayed in the bureaucracy while ensuring they didn't have to come to the office. These efforts not only weaken future administrations, they also undermine American prosperity.
Although everything seems bad now, the generational impact of Biden's failures will carve the legacy of his failures in stone.
