Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh has had a successful career in college and the NFL. In addition to his ability to lead a team, Harbaugh has also earned a reputation as one of the most eccentric characters in the coaching world.
Harbaugh frequently wears khaki pants during games and practices, so the color has become synonymous with him.
Four-time Pro Bowl selector Joey Bosa recently offered another example of what makes Harbaugh unique.
During an appearance on the “Green Light with Chris Long” podcast, Bosa said Harbaugh wears khakis when he jumps in the cold water.

“I believe in it because it's consistent with everything he's done,” Bosa said when asked about Harbaugh's decision to live in a camper before the season began.
“I don't know why I can relate to this, but he's in the bath right now, and he's just sitting there with his shirt tucked in, his belt and his khakis, full gear. Excuse me, coach. Coach, are those khakis supposed to be insulated or warm?”
In 2020, Harbaugh appeared as a guest on “The Jed Hughes Podcast” and revealed how khakis have become part of his brand.
Why Jim Harbaugh made the Chargers into a legitimate Super Bowl contender
“(Former coach) Dave (Adolph) wore khakis to practice every day and most of the coaches I coached under wore sweatpants and shorts,” Harbaugh said.
“So I asked, 'Dave, why do you wear those pants every day?' 'The pockets. I put my script in my pocket. Where I put my pen. Where I put my whistle.' It just made so much sense, it just seemed perfect.”

In addition to his fashion choices and living situation this summer, Harbaugh is also a proud fan of Judge Judy and Darth Vader. He's also a huge fan of milk.
“I truly believe that number one natural steroid is sleep, number two is milk, whole milk, and number three is water,” he said on a radio show in 2015. “Number four is steak.”

During a 2016 appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, Harbaugh expanded on his love for dairy products.

“We have a big milk dispenser,” Harbaugh, then the Michigan coach, said of the training center's facilities. “We have chocolate milk, whole milk, and a guy suggested 2 percent milk. 2 percent milk is better than nothing.”
