The 2024 presidential election is over, and Americans have made it loud and clear about who they want to lead their country.
Former President and soon-to-be President Donald J. Trump achieved a rare but exemplary feat by winning the electoral college 312-226 and gaining a 2.6 million vote advantage in the popular vote. Enter the White House with such an undeniable mission. Leading on the issues that matter most to the people of this great country.
While many talk about President Trump's plan to combat inflation, boost economic growth, cut regulations, cut government spending, and repair our broken and dangerous borders, we have no choice but to fight freedom and the basics. We cannot forget the promises made to protect human rights.
UNC students who attended John Rich concert left 'in tears': 'I couldn't believe we actually finished the concert'
Simply put, we must restore economic security to hardworking Americans while ensuring law-abiding citizens can protect their loved ones and themselves from harm.
The leading presidential candidates expressed two widely differing views on the right to “keep and bear arms.” Harris, a longtime gun control activist who defended California's “assault weapons ban,” called for “gun safety measures” that would undermine our safety and constitutional rights, but Trump said they were safe. He called for the restoration of gun rights to ensure a prosperous society. The future for all Americans.
On election night, it was clear that Americans supported President Trump's pro-Second Amendment policies, but in order to make those promises a reality, the next president and the voters needed to vote on November 5th. Action is needed from the many men and women who shared the paper.
President Trump can appoint pro-Second Amendment judges, limit federal overreach through executive action, and use his bully pulpit to oppose gun control legislation. Most of his campaign promises require swift action by the 119th Congress.
National concealed carry reciprocity
President-elect Trump has vowed multiple times on the campaign trail and in viral videos circulating on social media to enact national concealed carry reciprocity.
President Trump said, “Even under siege, we will protect the right to self-defense.'' “And I will sign concealed carry reciprocity. The Second Amendment doesn't end at state lines.”
The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act was introduced by U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) during the 117th Congress. The bipartisan legislation, which has a record 154 original co-sponsors, would allow a person with a state-issued concealed carry permit or permit to travel in other states if the permit holder complies with that state's laws. He admits to carrying a concealed handgun.
constitutional carry
Additionally, President Trump is boldly advocating for universal “constitutional carry,” where eligible, law-abiding citizens do not have to seek permission to carry concealed weapons.
To date, 29 states have passed laws regarding unauthorized carry. This means 46.8% of all Americans, or 157.6 million people, live in states that don't require a permit to carry.
Studies have shown that states with unauthorized carry have not seen an increase in violence or crime. In fact, crime has decreased in many states as more law-abiding citizens carry firearms.
As an advocate of universal “Constitutional Carry,” Donald J. Trump believes that families, neighborhoods, and communities will be safer if law-abiding citizens are able to exercise their Second Amendment rights. It's clear that you know what's going to happen.
Abolition of gun-free zones
Gun-free zones are a direct threat to the safety and well-being of schools and communities. According to the Washington Post, “86% of public mass shootings occur in gun-free zones.”
In the massacre of three 9-year-olds and three adults at Tennessee's Covenant School, the perpetrator's manifesto included a note to ensure the parking lot was secure before entering the building. She “considered” two other schools, both public, before deciding “the security was too tight for me to do what I wanted.” To be clear, she chose a private Christian school with “much less” security to increase the number of body bags.
Obviously these evil people aren't looking for a fair fight. They want complete control and no opposition along the way. That's why gun-free zones continue to be their top destination for carnage, and why President-elect Trump is calling for a repeal of the Gun-Free School Zones Act (GFSZA), which empowers criminals while disarming lawful citizens. This is exactly what I want.

make america safe again
In addition to banning national reciprocity and unauthorized carrying, banning gun-free zones, and completely eliminating all regulations and orders that threaten Americans' fundamental Second Amendment rights, President-elect Trump will also , publicly advocated for protecting access for hunters and athletes to the public. Improving land development and mental health services to address the root causes of mass violence.
But all of these promises will be for naught if lawmakers in Washington, D.C., refuse to act. Therefore, I and the 76 million freedom-loving Americans who proudly supported Donald J. Trump as a presidential candidate urge the 119th Congress to restore our Second Amendment rights. Let's make the president's campaign promises a reality and make America safe again.
