Vice President Kamala Harris' resurgence in this election is remarkable. In politics, candidates often reshape their records to secure votes, but Harris appears to have constructed an entirely mythical presence.
Harris, once considered one of the most liberal members of the Senate to the left of socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (R-Vt.), actually loves flux and is a gun-owning border guard. He has been trying to convince the people that he is a member of the regional parliament. -Medium defense.
Last week, it sounded like Harris had hired Neo from The Matrix as her new campaign manager. When asked, “What do you need besides a miracle?”, Neo replies, “Guns. I have a lot of guns.”

The remake was recently put on full display during a softball interview with Oprah, who supported Harris. The vice president declared that he was a gun owner and that “if someone broke into my house, I would get shot.”
Kamala Harris once said police could make surprise visits to the homes of legal gun owners to check on safe storage conditions.
She reiterated that claim in an interview on CBS' “60 Minutes,'' saying she fired the shot at a pistol range. The gun is reportedly a semi-automatic Glock handgun. Most Glocks are semi-automatic and use 9mm ammunition.
When CBS's Bill Whitaker expressed shock at seeing her carrying a gun on the campaign trail, he asked if she had actually fired a gun. After that, Harris did his best. Rooster Cogburn said, “An unloaded gun isn't much use against Noushin.” Harris said he fired his gun, of course, on his way to the shooting range.
Harris' pledge to shoot intruders stands in stark contrast to her opposition to uphold fundamental laws.
When Harris was district attorney in San Francisco, he was one of the signatories to the district attorney's brief in District of Columbia v. Heller supporting a handgun ban. The Supreme Court rejected the position of Harris and her fellow Democrats, holding that individuals have a right to bear arms under the Second Amendment.

Ms. Harris's sheer mettle has pleased activists trying to lure male voters back to the Democratic Party. That may not be as exciting for some in the Biden-Harris administration, including President Biden.
As we've previously discussed, Biden and other Democrats have repeatedly denounced semi-automatic machines, and some have suggested that changes in the Supreme Court could lead to them being banned. The administration has repeatedly called for a ban on the AR-15, the most popular weapon in the United States, and Biden has hinted in the past that he may seek to ban 9mm weapons.
Mr. Biden asserted that there is “no rational basis for considering self-defense” regarding guns that use 9mm bullets.

The call has echoes in Canada, where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that the Canadian government would introduce legislation to “implement a national freeze on handgun ownership.” He said Canadians would no longer be able to “buy, sell, transfer or import handguns anywhere in Canada,” adding: “There is no reason why anyone in Canada needs a gun in their daily lives.”
The White House later tried to retract his statement, but Biden's statement that there was “no rational basis” for owning a 9mm bullet made the new Harris look…well…irrational. .
Both Biden and Harris have made sweeping and untenable statements about guns and constitutional protections. For example, despite repeated corrections, Biden continues to repeat the same false statements about the weapons ban that were made when the Second Amendment was ratified.
Similarly, in support of banning the AR-15, Harris declared: “Do you know what an assault weapon is? It's designed for the specific purpose of killing a lot of people quickly. Assault weapons are weapons of war.'' They have no place and no place in civil society. ”

But the court is likely to ask the Harris administration why it is seeking to ban this model when other high-caliber weapons are on sale. The AR-15 is available in a variety of calibers. However, it is not more powerful than other semi-automatic rifles of the same caliber, and is in fact more powerful than some commonly sold weapons chambered for .30-06, .308, and .300 ammunition. It will be lower. Many of these guns fire at or near the same rate as an AR-15. None of these weapons are classified as actual military “assault weapons,” and most civilians cannot own automatic weapons.
As mentioned above, Mr. Biden has shown a similar disconnect between the facts and rhetoric of some gun control measures as Ms. Harris. He criticized “large caliber weapons” such as 9mm handguns, saying, “A .22 caliber bullet will go into your lungs, but you'll probably be able to get it out. But before accusing Ms. Harris of implicitly threatening to “blow the lungs out of a corpse,” Mr. Biden should take a second look at both the constitutional and practical descriptions of handguns.
Gun experts have scoffed at the idea that a 9mm round would blow out a corpse's organs, but Shooting Industry magazine found that the most popular handgun caliber in the United States is the 9mm round, and that all bullets produced in 2019 were It is said that more than half of handguns use this bullet. If Biden enforces the ban, it would affect more than 40% of all handguns produced in the United States, including many Glocks.
Again, to be fair to Harris, she is not the first politician to reinvent herself on the campaign trail. For now, Harris wants to make it clear that “I have a Glock, and have had it for quite some time.” For critics, Reload seems a bit much given her record. But with the election so close, many activists want voters in states like Pennsylvania to know that Harris is the de facto Jed Clampett of Beverly Hills. The 9mm gun has been vilified by the Biden-Harris administration, but it just happens to be one of the most popular guns in America…and Harris knows she has a gun and knows how to use it. I want people to know about this.
As a politician, she made a wise choice when reinventing herself towards a higher quality image. In fact, other politicians would do well to listen to the words of Deputy Sam Gerard in U.S. Marshals: “Get a Glock and give up your nickel-plated wimpy pistol.” It might be good.
