According to the Louisville, Kentucky Courier Journal, all 21 horses racing this year's Kentucky Derby are descendants of the well-known Racehorse Office.
This year marks 52 years since the Secretariat won the Triple Crown at a record time that remains today. Now, no matter which horse wins, the legacy of the horse is respected.

The secretariat has layed over 660 registered foals during the horse's life.
According to the Associated Press, the racehorses were notoriously big of a heart. He won Derby, Preakness and Belmont during a record time, and finished the 25 Triple Crown drought in 1973. It marked one of the most monumental moments in horse racing history.
The secretariat won the Derby in the 1:59.40 hour.
Two weeks later, at Preakness Stakes, he won again in 1:53 hours.
During the Belmont stakes, the horse wiped out the competition and won by an exceptional 31 length. The Secretariat became the first Triple Crown winner since the quote won the title in 1948.
