There are only four weeks until Election Day, and voting has already begun in many states. According to various analysts, the race will be very close. And over the weekend, President Trump returned to Butler, Pennsylvania, where he survived an assassination attempt in July. The event was one of the most powerful he has ever held, creating a unique opportunity to assess the state of the race and President Trump's place in American history. Below are some observations.
First of all, “Musk Factor”. His appearance against Trump and his urgent appeal to voters is monumental. Although he has not traditionally been a Republican, he represents a new class of highly educated voters who recognize that President Trump must win in order to protect constitutional liberties. In recent months, a series of former Democrats, including Robert Kennedy Jr., former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, and RFK's former vice presidential candidate Nicole Shanahan, have announced that Vice President Kamala Harris' support is extremely strong. They have warned us that they are building a political machine. It threatens our entire political system.

Consider what Harris' supporters have done in recent years.
They have done everything they can to open America's borders and allow non-Americans to enter this country, receive government benefits, and ultimately vote in elections. They have turned the Democratic Party into their personal fiefdom. Democrats are no longer competing in primaries or even having serious discussions about what positions they should take on the issue or who they should nominate to key offices. Harris' supporters were so powerful that they ended Biden's presidential career in a matter of weeks. They are so strong that they gave Harris the Democratic nomination without a proper debate, even though she had a disastrous political career. In the states they govern, such as California, the state government is a one-party system with elected officials like the governor. Gavin Newsom and JB Pritzker have no problem ignoring the desires of the people. Harris' supporters now want to expand the system nationwide. They have made it clear that they intend to crack down on anyone who speaks against them by banning them from the internet as much as possible and destroying companies like Company X that don't comply. They have imprisoned many of their political opponents and have done everything they can to imprison President Trump himself.
Elon Musk understands that if these people win again, if they can take an unqualified puppet like Harris and put him in the White House, none of us will be safe. .
Second, JD Vance continues to perform well and impress. This comes as no surprise to anyone who has followed him over the past few years (including his frequent appearances on “The Ingraham Angle”). His rise is one of the biggest developments this year.
David Marcus: Trump's defiant supporters flock to Butler rally with new confidence
As the year began, many in Washington were hopeful that defeating President Trump one more time would crush his America First movement. They were openly rooting for people like former Rep. Liz Cheney to return to the Republican seat. They expected that after these elections, the Republican Party would return to its role as a junior partner of the establishment. But now, after he shattered the vice presidential debate, the establishment is learning that Vance, 40, is a fascinating politician and will likely remain a national figure for the next 30 years. .
But Vance is not an anomaly. Under President Trump's leadership, the Republican Party has a large workforce of talented leaders like Sens. Marco Rubio, Josh Hawley, Tom Cotton, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and President Trump. has been cultivated. Ron DeSantis and Glenn Youngkin – they are ready to put their own stamp on this agenda. This group of leaders will continue to grow the Republican Party into a multiracial, multiracial force for working-class people.

Third, Mr. Trump himself. The enormity of Butler's crowd spoke volumes. The atmosphere was electric. Security was tight this time, with snipers on every roof in sight.
President Trump's success will depend on his ability to convince tens of millions of voters that he is fighting for their interests. Love, gratitude, defiance, and patriotism were on full display at the Butler Fairgrounds. They are not a threat to democracy. They're just smart enough to understand how the cabal in Washington DC tore America apart.
Patrick Henry would recognize this type of patriot, as would Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln. Most importantly, they are not mindless drones who do exactly what they are told. If you're looking for mindless drones, check out the network hacks that take every position Democratic donors tell them to take. They are good, decent patriots trying to save the country they love.
I finally saw President Trump. It's clear to anyone who has covered politics for the past 30 years that President Trump is the only person we've covered who truly deserves to be in the history books. Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were talented and wise politicians, but they never said or did anything that truly challenged the rich and powerful. The only other Republican administrations since 1988 other than the Trump administration, the two Bush administrations, will not be remembered as transformative.

But President Trump has changed America. He has beaten the establishment so badly on economic issues that they have all but given up on discussing it. They don't want Harris to talk about those issues either, because his foreign policy was much more successful than theirs.
He's been slandered, impeached, indicted by the most powerful people in the world, faced with unlimited opposition funding from the richest people in the world, and he just keeps fighting.
He is in a stronger position now than he was at the same point in 2016 and 2020. By promoting Vance and other young Republicans, he has built a movement that can survive whatever happens in November. And he showed incredible physical courage by coming forward in a situation where there was troubling evidence of total incompetence on behalf of the Secret Service.

Fifty years from now, 100 years from now, 200 years from now, no one will care about Joe Biden or Kamala Harris or Tim Walz. They will be seen as spokespersons for failed institutions. But historians will continue to try to understand President Trump and his movements.
What I want them to see is what I saw in The Butler. Even after two impeachments, endless trials, and deadly bullets, Trump was a man who never gave up on fighting for America's forgotten working people.
