Charlotte Hornets guard Seth Curry knows what most expectations are like.
One wore the same team jersey as his father, Del Curry, and 10 of his 16 NBA seasons. Dell averaged 14 points in 701 career games at Charlotte.
And he has his older brother, perennial Golden State Warriors All-Star, team hero Stephen Curry, and two-time NBA scoring champion and four-time NBA title winners.

So Seth knows the type of pressure Bronnie James faces on the West Coast. The Rookie Los Angeles Lakers Guard deals with comparisons to his father, LeBron James, the NBA's all-time high-scoring leader.
Expectations and speculation quickly began before James' longtime son began showing off his basketball skills with AAU balls, playing for the prestigious Sierra Canyon High School team.
Bronnie then went to USC in his freshman year from 2023-24. After cardiac arrest during practice on campus, he returned and posted mediocre numbers during a mediocre Trojan campaign. But he declared for the NBA draft anyway.

When they entered the draft, many believed that only the Lakers would pull the trigger on Bronnie. That was exactly what happened in the second round, and the Lakers chose to pair him with their father.
Being the son of arguably the best NBA player has had a different type of pressure ever, and Seth acknowledges his feelings about what Bronnie is experiencing.
“In Brony's case, I definitely feel him,” Seth told Fox News Digital, discussing his partnership with Bush's beans. “He's just going out there, working hard and trying to be the best player he can be.

“I mean, no matter what the media and fans do, they use it. He's his own person. He's out there and trying to make the best career for himself.
Bronnie saw limited action in 21 games against the Lakers during his rookie season and struggled with those appearances. He was 10-for-38 (26.3%) in the season, shooting five-twenty-two from territories with 3 points.
Seth said that having a father like LeBron has something positive, even if the attention and other factors are negative.
“There are two sides to the coin,” Seth said. “As you said, there are some negatives and some positives so you can ask questions. You can see their process they have gone to get to where they are. But at the same time, those expectations are on you.
“But it was his life, my life. It wasn't just the day he went to college or the day Brony was drafted. He really was expecting his whole life.
As long as Bronney stays in the NBA, he has critics. Seth suggests more confidence, and the person in charge can help Brony silence the criticism.

Cooking with bush beans
Curry is constantly trapped in the insanity of March as the tournament rolls. That means whipping something good in the kitchen, which he calls “curry caviar.”
Using bush beans, Curry explained that Callie Rivers, the daughter of legendary NBA coach Doc Rivers, his wife, former professional volleyball player Curry Rivers, introduced him to snacks that became a family staple during this period.
“To be honest, it's something we make every year in this house. It's healthy. You can have a snack all week after making it, and you can have snacks all week. It's top notch,” Curry said.
