LeBron James warns Deion Sanders' critics, says 'haters are in hiding' after Colorado's recent win

Coach Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes defeated Utah on Saturday to improve to 8-2 on the season.

Colorado won just four games in Sanders' first season as head coach, which was a significant improvement over the football program's one-win season in 2022.

Sanders faced his fair share of doubters when he made the leap from Jackson State University, a historically black college and university in Mississippi, to a struggling NCAA Division I FBS program. The Buffaloes got off to a 3-0 start last season, but criticism grew even louder after Colorado ended the 2023 season with six straight losses.

James suggested that Sanders opponents have gone “invisible” this season. He also declared that Sanders had moved from “we are coming” to “we are here.”

Sanders has overseen an aggressive roster shakeup over the past two offseasons, and it appears to have paid off. This approach included relying heavily on transfer portals and recruiting the nation's best high school candidates.

Colorado switched from the Pac-12 Conference to the Big 12 this season, which many believed would result in an even tougher schedule than the one the Buffaloes would compete in 2023.

Despite this, the University of Colorado rises to the challenge and continues to earn a conference championship and even a berth in the College Football Playoff.
