The 40-year-old star has become the oldest female alpine ski racer finishing on the podium.
“It was hard work,” Bonn said. “This isn't easy to do, and it felt really good to say I did it.
Bonn was emotional after the race. This was won by Swiss rival Lala Gatt Bellami.
“Age is just a number,” Bonn said. “If you feel good, you're still motivated mentally, and you're working hard, you can achieve everything you set your mind.”
She added that the suspects and deniers also fueled her.

“Sometimes negative voices, they drive me more than positive voices,” Bonn said. “I use it all as fuel, it drove me through the tough times this year, and I knew I could do that.
“When I cross the finish line, I can be a place where I know what I can and there's a lot of relief to silence the many negative voices that just surround me.
On Friday, Bonn spoke about her goal of competing in the 2026 Olympics in Cortina, Italy.
“These Olympics are all I really wanted to do,” she told The Associated Press. “Cortina is one of my favorite places, so that's the carrots that hang in front of me.
“As soon as it goes away, I can ski powder and play tennis and go back to living the life I've lived for the past six years.”
