Mark Cuba, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks minority and host of “Shark Tank,” saw a trans athlete in women's sports this week.
In an interview on Friday with The Stephen A. Smith Show, Cuban suggested that trans-inclusion should not “push people's throats down.”
“If you don't support less than 10 NCAA trans athletes, you weren't a good person. People aren't ready yet. You have to meet the person they have.” “It takes time. You can't just push people's throats down.”

Cuba also suggested that those affected by transgender inclusion policies in sports should not be used in political campaigns.
“Instead of trying to get a place where people who are at a disadvantage and discriminated can help, they wanted it to be a campaign issue,” Cuba said. “Focus on supporting people rather than using them in campaigns.”
A national exit poll conducted by the US Legislative Action Committee for Women of concern found that 70% of moderate voters had seen the issue of “Donald Trump playing girls and women's sports.”

Additionally, 6% said it was the most important question of all, and 44% said it was “very important.”
Cuba also suggested supporting female athletes who choose not to compete with their transgender competitors, saying the decision to compete with trans athletes should be left to the athletes themselves.
“My attitude has made my opponent decide whether they want to compete with them, whether it's an individual sport or a team sport, if they have trans athletes, no matter what aspect it is,” Cuban said.

A stubborn supporter of former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris and a passionate critic of President Donald Trump, Cuban is one of many prominent leftists who opposed the Democratic stance on trans-athlete inclusion.
Smith repeatedly called on Democrats for his stance on trans-athletes, suggesting he was greatly defeated in the November election.
HBO host Bill Maher also criticizes democratic support for women's trans-inclusion in sports. Even democratic lawmakers like Rep. Seth Moulton, D-Mass and former Montana Sen. John Tester opposed the party's current stance.
A New York Times/Ipsos survey found that the vast majority of Americans, including the majority of Democrats, do not believe that trans athletes should not be allowed to compete in women's sports. Of the 2,128 participants, 79% identified as women, biological men, said they should not be allowed to participate in female sports.
Of the 1,025 identified as Democrats or Democrats they rely on, 67% said trans athletes should not be allowed to compete with women.
