Dallas Mavericks minority owner Mark Cuban may be looking for a fresh start on a new social media platform following a series of recent embarrassments at X.
On Tuesday, Cuban posted on the Bluesky platform for the first time in over a year.
“Hello, Hateful World,” Cuban wrote.
Cuban then posted again, telling his followers that they shouldn't expect too many political comments from the “Shark Tank” host “for a while.”

“FYI. Don't expect any politics or speculation about what will happen for a while. I'm sure there will be plenty to comment on when the time comes,” he wrote.
Before Tuesday, Cuban last posted on Blue Sky in July 2023. His latest post came after the platform announced it had added more than 1 million new users since last week's election.

Cuban's return to Blue Sky comes days after he deleted multiple X posts supporting Vice President Kamala Harris during the campaign.
“I've always gone back and deleted tweets. For years. Same thing with the 2020 election. Same thing with the 2016 election. Same thing with other things. Wayback machine if you really want to see it. ,” Cuban wrote to X.
Cuban's X feed has sparked a partisan debate about the recent election, with the billionaire stirring up controversy by taking a pro-Harris position in a debate on X with random users.

This included an exchange with former NCAA swimmer and Outkick contributor Riley Gaines during a debate over Harris' handling of the border crisis.
In the end, Mr. Gaines had the last word in the debate. Cuban did not respond to Gaines' thread, pointing out that Harris' proposed border bill includes funding for Ukraine and Israel, and that 320,000 people will be allowed to cross the border during Harris' border response. We discussed the disappearance of the migrant children mentioned above.
A Department of Homeland Security report released on August 21 revealed that the Biden-Harris administration did not track the number of migrant children who crossed the border without their parents.
Cuban also blasted President Trump's comments during an appearance on ABC's “The View” in which he claimed he was never seen around “strong” or “intelligent” women.
“Donald Trump, I've never seen him around strong, intelligent women. I've never seen him before,” Cuban said. “It's very simple. They're intimidating to him. He doesn't like being challenged by them.”
Mr. Cuban came under fire for his comments, particularly from X users, in the days after they were made and into election week. Many have pointed out that one of Cuban's closest business partners, a co-owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, is a woman who supports Mr. Trump.
The family of Miriam Adelson, who bought most of the Mavericks from Cuba in December, donated $100 million to her Preserve America PAC, which supports the Trump presidential campaign, according to Front Office Sports. This was the largest political contribution by an NBA, NFL, MLB, or WNBA owner.
Cuba's recent X posts included a post congratulating Trump after his election night victory.

“Congratulations (Donald Trump). You won fair and square. Congratulations to (Elon Musk) too,” Cuban wrote to X.
Since the post, Mr. Cuban has not mentioned Mr. Trump or Ms. Harris on social media. Since then, Mr. Cuban's only post mentioning any political figure was on Sunday, when he promoted an ad for his company that specializes in supplement evaluations and mentioned Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“It's great to hear people like (Joe Rogan) and RFK Jr. and so many others talking about health, but make sure the products you use have the ingredients listed on the label. ” Cuban wrote.
Mr. Cuban was one of many left-wing figures who went so far as to suggest that Mr. Trump was a “fascist” in the weeks leading up to Election Day.
“Donald Trump is no ordinary candidate,” Cuban told Jonathan Karl in a recent ABC interview. “And I don’t think it’s a stretch to call Donald Trump a fascist.

“He's talking about 'the enemy within,' about using the military to go after people. He's talking about mass deportations, stopping people on the street and checking their documents. What do you hear when you hear that? Do you remember? We're talking about knocking on doors. What do you think of when you hear about dragging people out and deporting them? That's not the definition of fascism. It's pretty close to fascism.”
Earlier this year, when President Biden was still the presumptive Democratic nominee, Mr. Cuban said he would vote for Mr. Biden over Mr. Trump, even if Mr. Biden was “performed the last rites.”
“Even if there was a final wake and it was him versus Trump and the last rites were performed, I would still vote for Joe Biden,” he told Bloomberg News in March.
