The leaderboard stacks with golfers who combine 10 major championships within the top three shots, with players who are more uniform (8 shotbacks) or lower combined with 24 major wins.
54 players made the cuts on Friday and the play was fantastic. The cut line was just 10 strokes behind the lead. It's a long shot for those guys, but they haven't come out of it.

It has attracted the attention of avid golfer President Donald Trump.
Paulina Dedaj of Fox News Digital was in Air Force 1 with the president on Friday and asked Trump “want to win the Masters.”
He seems to be rooting for everyone.
“They're all my friends. They have great things. Scotty Schaeffler is great. Bryson (Decanbeau) is great. Justin Rose, they're all my friends,” he said.
“It's going to be a very good master. It's going to be a very good master.

He's right. Justin Rose's 8-under leads the pack, while Deccanbo is a stroke back. McIlroy is two shots behind the leader along with Corey Conners.
Scottie Scheffler, Tyrrell Hatton, Shane Lowry and Matt McCarty all sit at five under par. Other big names within impressive distance include Viktor Hovland and Jason Day at 4 under. Ludvig Aberg, Matsuyama, Patrick Reed, Collin Morikawa at 3-under; Xander Schauffele, Tommy Fleetwood and Brian Harman have returned six times to 2 under.
1-under Major Champion or include Baba Watson, Justin Thomas, Matt Fitzpatrick and Wyndham Clark.

Schaeffler's victory makes him the first consecutive winner at Augusta since Tiger Woods in 2001 and 2002. Meanwhile, McIlroy is making his 11th attempt to complete a career grand slam, and still keeps his eye on the green jacket with a long gaze.
