Approximately one year after returning to Major League Wrestling, Matt Riddle defeated Satoshi Kojima at Kings of the Coliseum to win the MLW World Heavyweight Championship for the first time.
Riddle reflected on the “amazing night” in an interview with Fox News Digital.

“I feel pretty good,” he said of winning the title. “It felt like a long time had passed. But nothing worth doing is easy. It feels really, really good.”
Riddle nearly won the MLW World Heavyweight Championship in 2018 when he faced the professional wrestler currently known as Swerve Strickland. He fell short in the roughly 22-minute match.
After stints on the WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling independent circuits, Riddle returned to MLW last year, starting with a match against Jacob Fatu. He's been doing great ever since.
“I couldn’t be more pleased to have accomplished everything I’ve done and come back full circle and win the heavyweight championship against Kojima, who is also an absolute legend,” he said. spoke. “It was a sensational weekend. The Texas crowd was electric and it was a great night.”

Riddle said his experience with Major League Wrestling is even better than before. Riddle isn't the only notable name on the roster. Mistico, KENTA, Donovan Dijak, Tom Lawlor, and Bobby Fish are just some of the notable names in this organization.
“It's just gotten bigger and better[over the past year]but I've still worked with some of the best people in the business and I've worked with some of the best competitors in the business,” Riddle told Fox News Digital. spoke. “I lost to Swerve in the final, but just as everyone has seen what I have done since then, we have seen what he has done since then. .

He will return to action to defend the championship against two opponents: Kojima and Alex Cain. The three will face off in a triple threat match at MLW Superfight 6 on February 8th at Center Stage in Atlanta.
