Pat McAfee thrilled Pacers fans in the final minutes of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals, but there's one from Indiana who wasn't a Peptalk fan.

The Pacers led the New York Knicks 111-96, leaving the game with 9:52, while McAfee used the microphone to take a shot with the building's celebrity Knicks fans and the team in general.

“Indiana, we have some big names from the big city of buildings. Spike Lee is here. Ben Stiller is here.

“Let these sons of a son go back to New York with their ears.

Thank you McAfee, but his words didn't bother him as the Pacers held on their way to a 3-1 series lead.

But John Mellencamp, who was in the game, said, “When someone called out to Knicks fans… he said it was “embarrassing.”

“The Knicks/Pacer game was very interesting for people who like basketball and sports. I went to Game 4 in Indianapolis,” Mellencamp, a native of Seymour, Indiana, told social media.

OKC Thunder will play the NBA Finals for the first time since 2012 after running through the Timberwolves

“I was embarrassed when I called out and supported some of the people who traveled from New York to support the team in a direction I didn't know.

“It was poor and I could say that sportsmanship was poor. I wasn't proud to be a Hoosie and I have lived here for the rest of my life. On behalf of most Hoosiers, I would like to apologise for our poor behavior. I am sure Pacer had nothing to do with this SmackDown.”

Stiller challenged McCuffy to join Game 5 at Madison Square Garden on Thursday.

Tailese Halliburton dropped 32 points for a triple double in Game 4, and sales were not committed.

If the Knicks want to participate in the NBA Finals, they will need to win each of the following three games: The winner of the series will face the Oklahoma City Thunder, who will be playing in the championship for the first time since 2012.

The Knicks and Packer were unable to reach the NBA Finals in the 21st century.

Indiana defeated the Knicks in last year's playoff series.
