Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida is usually a tough venue for opponents trying to beat the Florida Gators, but that didn't seem to faze the Miami Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes offense, led by Cam Ward, helped No. 19 Miami thump Florida, 41-17.

Ward passed for 385 yards and three touchdowns with a quarterback rating of 95.7 in his first game with the Hurricanes since transferring from Washington State.
He ended his stay in Florida with some words for the die-hard Gators fans who traveled to the Swamp.
“Advice to fans: If you're going to yell, yell when you're in the huddle,” he said. “Don't yell after the huddle is over. It's pointless if you wait until then. We're listening to the plays and we're already communicating.”
Ward, who also played for Incarnate Word, said other stadiums he's visited have been much louder.

“I played at USC, which wasn't packed, but it was louder than this,” he said. “I played at Oregon, which was louder than this. The Pac-12 is misunderstood. I believe that's where real football is played. Washington was one of the loudest environments I've ever played in.”
Ward was a big trade target for the Hurricanes when the transfer window was open, as he was one of the top quarterbacks on the market.
He is considered a promising NFL prospect. The Hurricanes haven't selected a quarterback in the first three rounds of the draft since the Dallas Cowboys selected Steve Walsh in 1989. The last time a Miami quarterback was selected by a team was Brad Kaya, who was selected by the Detroit Lions in 2017.
