Mariano Rivera, who spent the entire career of MLB, renowned for the New York Yankees, was added as a defendant in the lawsuit. Rivera's wife, Clara Rivera, was also listed as a defendant in an amended sexual abuse case filed by an unknown girl and her mother.
USA Today Sports obtained a copy of the new complaint after it was filed in Westchester County Court on April 25th.
The original lawsuit filed in January alleges that a young girl was killed by an older individual during an event linked to a church co-founded by Liberas.
The church is in Westchester County, New York, and Clara was listed as a senior pastor.

In previous submissions, Liberas was accused of taking insufficient steps to protect the girl listed as Jane Doe in the complaint. The complaint alleges that the assault occurred “around 2018” at the New York home, the then New York home.
The alleged abuse occurred at a barbecue where children attended church attendance were invited, according to the lawsuit. However, the parents of the children present did not receive the invitation, according to the lawsuit.

Details of the amended lawsuit were consistent with the initial filing. In both applications, Liberas is allegedly “isolated and threatened” to ignore the girl's allegedly sexually abused claims and ensure she was quiet about the alleged incident.
“Instead of taking sufficient action to end Jane a Do's sexual abuse, Rivera was isolated separately, and Jane threatened doe to remain silent about her abuse.
“To avoid potential scandals of child sexual abuse in the program and otherwise protect the accused, Rivera assures his mother that Jane A-Dou is safe and dangerous at the Ignite Life Center, despite Jane A-Dou being vulnerable at the Ignite Life Center.
