A knee injury will keep the St. Louis Cardinals right fielder Jordan Walker on the right from the baseball diamond for the next few days.
The 22-year-old appeared to have been injured after stomping the sprinkler's head as he chased a fly ball in a spring training game earlier this week. The Cardinals ultimately defeated the Washington Nationals at Tuesday's exhibition in Palm Beach, Florida.

MRI later confirmed that Walker avoided structural damage to his knee. However, there were some signs of irritation.

Cardinals manager Oliver Malmoll said the team will take a cautious approach to Walker's knees over the course of next week.

Walker is expected to be ready for the first day of next month. Walker has made some changes to his swing this offseason and is expected to start on the right field once the regular season begins.
Walker has 21 career home runs and 71 RBIs in 168 games. Right-handed batters also have a career batting average of .255.
