More than 230 doctors, nurses and other medical professionals are calling on former President Trump to release his medical records after Vice President Kamala Harris released them.
In an open letter dated Oct. 13, first reported by CBS News, health care workers expressed concern about Trump's advanced age, saying the 78-year-old Republican candidate has not been transparent about his health and medical history. They argue that it should be done.
“On August 20, Donald Trump said he was 'willing' to release his medical records. Now, 55 days later, he still has not,” the letter reads. “Due to the recent lack of health disclosures from Donald Trump, we can only make inferences based on public appearances. And in that regard, Trump falls alarmingly short of even the standards of eligibility for public office. It shows alarming features of decreased visual acuity.
The majority of signatories support Harris as a presidential candidate. The letter claims that Trump appears to be “rambling, meandering, and airing a number of crude complaints” during the campaign, and questions whether this behavior is the result of age-related cognitive changes. is doubtful.
