Morning Glory: Time is Waste, House GOP

Some of the oldest and cleverest cliches are, “Perfect should not be the enemy of good.”

“Perfect” cannot be achieved in a world that is not yet protected by angels. “If men are angels, then there's no need for government,” James Madison wrote in Federalist 51, and of course neither party has one angel in his head. All elected officials are incomplete and are all elected from a particular constituency to achieve something different.

Time has passed, and the national employers – men and women who are actually employing themselves and doing productive things, not vast government officials, but men and women who are hiring others in the private sector, who are actually employed themselves and doing productive things, are on the road.
