The ultimate honor during the awards season is to bring the statue home. However, most of the ceremonies and related events between January and March have long been offered by celebrities through alternative ways to distinguish themselves: clothing choices.
For A-listers, the red carpet is just as self-expression venue as the arena of brand deal landings, fashion week invitations, and still unpainted print magazine covers. For viewers, they can peek at the trends of tomorrow. And for many people, the red carpet is also very enjoyable, whether they're walking or watching.
The eight stars on this list seemed to have a solid grasp of all these points based on how they navigated through the many red carpets they decorated. Some used carpets to perform muse to certain designers, while others used them to challenge beauty stigma. Needless to say, I turned countless heads while everything was doing it.
Zoe Saldanya
The “Emilia Perez” actress won an incredible amount of trophies, winning Golden Globe Awards, Critics Choice Awards, British Academy Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, and Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actress. She showed equally strong style: Saldanya, who collaborated with stylist Petra Flannery, wore many pieces of layers, ruffles and sculpture by St. Laurent, one of the producers of “Emilia Perez.”
Demi Moore
The intricate details featured many gowns worn by actresses, the “material” star who won the Golden Globe Award, Critics' Choice Award and the SAG Award for Best Actress. Moore, who worked with stylist Brad Goleski, once rolled her looks with her dog, pilaf and fluffy accessories.
Timothy Chalamet
The “completely unknown” star, whose portrayal of Bob Dylan won him a SAG award, pushed the limits of formal wear for men by wearing innovative suits and bright colors in the Easter parade. Several ensembles worn by Chalamett, who worked with stylist Taylor McNeill, are said to have been inspired by Dylan's people.
Cynthia Eribo
The high neckline, vast skirts and graphic pinstripes were one of the ways in which the “evil” actress infused the sense of drama with her red carpet figure. With the film's sequel, “Wicked: For Good,” coming out this fall, fans won't have to wait too long for Eribo, who worked with stylist Jason Bolden, to join it again.
Colman Domingo
The risks of almost every style the “Singing” actor filmed – a tuxedo jacket with a tie waist, a cape-like coat, a scarf tied to an oversized bow – have paid off to those watching him. Whatever he was doing, Domingo, who worked with stylists Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald, seemed to be in a good mood.
Anna Sawai
The “General” actress, who won the Golden Globe and SAG Award for Best Actress in a Drama TV Series, bouncing between blacks, whites and major colors like red and blue. Many of the looks worn by Sawai, who worked with stylist Carla Welch, consisted of a way that exposed her elegantly pooled skirt around her legs.
Jeremy Strong
Wearing muted greens and browns was the way the “apprentice” star actor often stayed away from others in a traditional penguin suit. When he wore black, Strong, who worked with stylist Warren Alfie Baker, was sometimes differentiated by including statements like an overcoat.
Pamela Anderson
The star of “The Last Showgirl” actress embodied the term “natural beauty” by choosing to wear most of her makeup for many appearances. In addition to her aura of carefree elegance, the ensemble, which includes soft drapes and fabrics, many of which combined the help of her assistant, Jonathan Zaylor.
