NBA great Magic Johnson is having trouble winning new fans on social media.
The five-time NBA champion and basketball Hall of Famer is once again in hot water after coming under fire for saying that former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama's speech during the Democratic National Convention (DNC) was “the greatest political speech in the history of our country.”

Johnson appeared on X to share his thoughts about his first media interview since winning the Democratic nomination, which aired Thursday night.

“Vice President Kamala Harris was fantastic in her CNN interview tonight! She has a true vision for the country,” he wrote in X's post.
Despite the praise, Harris faced criticism for being vague about her “day one” strategy during a taped interview with running mate Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota – something some fans on social media seemed to agree with.

“What's your vision? Be specific,” one person replied to Johnson.
“You can't be serious,” wrote another.

“She has failed for 3 1/2 years…how can we believe this vision, the same failed policies of the current administration she is a part of, will lead our country to a better place,” another post read.
“What is it? I've looked twice and I didn't have any visions…”
But in a second post, Johnson seemed to disagree that Harris had made ambiguous statements in the interview.

“Vice President Harris was strong and clear about where she stands on the economy, foreign policy, immigration and other issues. She clearly explained why she changed her views on some issues, demonstrating her humility, growth and openness,” he wrote.
The response to his second post was similar.
“Instead of saying you didn't see the interview, say you didn't see the interview…”
