The New York Knicks shocked the Boston Celtics and opened their second round NBA Playoff Series on Monday night in thrilling fashion.
The Knicks erased a 20-point deficit and forced overtime to beat the Celtics 108-105 in a game where Boston missed a whopping 45-point shot.
Jalen Branson was almost a hero on the buzzer, just like in Game 6 in his first round with the Detroit Pistons. The town of Karl Anthony found him on a sweet pass towards the basket with just a few seconds left on the fourth clock.

However, Brunson's floaters on Al Horford didn't have the right amount of finesse and rattled off the rim to force overtime rather than ensuring victory restrictions.
However, the Knicks used fourth quarter momentum, where they outperformed the Celtics 25-18 with extra time. OG Anunoby took his free throw 103-100 lead, having a crucial three-pointer under two minutes in regulations to support New York's efforts to force overtime.

Anunoby coincided with Brunson's 29 points and scored 10/20 from the field, including 6-11 over the ARC.
The Knicks pushed the lead to six when Mikal Bridge knocked down a 23-foot three-pointer to shock the crowd at TD Garden. Jason Tatum ultimately grabbed the Celtics on the board in overtime, but the Towns made a chip shot to keep the lead with 6 with 1 minute and 47 seconds remaining.

Boston began to feel life again after Jalen Brown finally scored a 3-pointer within three points, but the Celtics were unable to force more extra time as they peeled the brown of Busher's inbound pass. The Bridges, who played 51 minutes of a total of 53 minutes on the clock, were key to stopping Boston by working overtime with two block shots before stealing.
It cannot be overstated that the Celtics were not filmed from the 3-point territory on Monday night. This is usually a specialty of this group. They were cold from there in the second half and ended up finishing 35.1% as a team on the field.
Tatum was shooting seven out of 23, including three quarters. He finished with 23 points, 16 rebounds, six assists and two steels. Brown was one of the three, but he went 7 of seven from the field with 23 points and 10 of 10 free throws.

Additionally, the town rebounded 13 times to 14 points for a double double, but Josh Hart came up with a tremendous rebound ability per normal, finishing at 11 and scoring 14 points. Miles “Deuce” McBride scored 11 points after being off the bench.
If this game says anything about this series, it appears to be shaped like another classic match between celebrity rivals.
