The Cincinnati Bengals' new kicker will be sharing the sideline with his girlfriend this coming Monday night.
Cade York was signed to the practice squad on Wednesday after veteran Evan McPherson was placed on injured reserve with a groin injury. York, who played alongside Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase at LSU when the Tigers won the national championship in 2019, will make his team debut Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys.

But he has another familiar face to share the field with.

“My girlfriend is actually a cheerleader for the Cowboys,” York told reporters in the locker room Thursday.
“She got baptized this Sunday, so it was awesome to be able to do that. And all of her teammates got to come watch. And literally the next day she was baptized for the Bengals. I got a call saying I was going to train and I was playing on Monday.

York, who last played for the Washington Commanders this season in Week 1, said despite his allegiance to the Cowboys organization, “She'll be rooting for me.”

“She already said the second and fourth quarters will be on the visitors side. I have to give her a few sneaky laughs,” York added with a smile.
York, 23, was traded to the Commanders in August but was released after missing two field goals in Washington's season-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
