Shedeur Sanders' emotional roller coaster plunged even harder on the second day of the NFL Draft.
After falling into the third round and being taken over in favor of two other quarterbacks, who are expected to go far behind Sanders, he fell victim to an untimely prank call while the world watched.
He and his family were live streaming the second day of the NFL Draft Party on Twitch on Friday night, but Sanders saw him answer a call from the general manager who made the decision to draft.
The 23-year-old quarterback had a big smile on his face as he answered and greeted with friends and family, who were crowded with friends and family around him.
“I'm fine, I've been waiting for you,” he said.
However, the con man on the other side told the enthusiastic young athlete “we have to wait a little longer” as Sanders' smile quickly disappeared.

After the call ended, the crowds around Sanders erupted into an anxious conversation as he glared at the phone.
Sanders then ended his Twitch stream.
Sanders' draft slides were the biggest and most controversial storyline of this year's draft.
After fellow quarterback Cam was kicked out of Miami on Thursday's first overall pick, experts assumed that Sanders would follow soon after his second quarterback was filmed. Instead, however, Jackson Dart was taken to the Giants late in the first round, and Tyler Schaff was taken to the Saints early in the second.
Dirt and Shaff were predicted by scouts and analysts to go far behind Sanders.
At one point during quarterback slides on Thursday, his other brother, NFL safety prospect Shiro Sanders, claimed that Shedeur was “something going on” that was unselected, as seen in footage posted by other brother Deion Sanders Jr.
“Both, if they don't take you right now, something's going on,” Shiro said. “If they're not taking him right now, then something is going on. I don't know what's going on, but it's something.”
The mistake of the quarterback in the NFL Draft is that it shaped the league landscape.
In additional footage posted by Deion Jr. on Thursday night, Shedeur told his family that he hadn't been filmed in a speech when the first night of the draft was over.
“Of course, we didn't expect this, but I feel God, what is possible, everything is possible, everything is possible. I don't feel that this happened for no reason. Of course, this is fire fuel. This never happened, but we knew it was bigger and better,” the quarterback said.
“Tomorrow is that day. I'll be happy regardless. Legend.”
President Donald Trump joined the debate on Friday, torn apart the “silly” NFL owner who handed over the Star Colorado quarterback and allowed him to fall into the second round.
“What's wrong with the NFL owners, are they stupid? Sanders is a great college football player and even bigger in the NFL. He was also a smart, very good coach at Streetwise!
He should be “selected” immediately by the team he wants to win. Wishing you good luck and say hello to your wonderful father! ”
Former Democrat Jamal Bowman joined the debate on Friday, suggesting that Sanders slipped because “America continues to fear strong black men.”

“The NFL doesn't mind that (Chedure) Sanders wears a gold chain and speaks like a rapper, so he's the leader, intelligent, tough, and 77% of his passes completed without O-Line and running games. Bowman wrote on X.
