NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss revealed to fans on Friday that he has been diagnosed with cancer on an Instagram livestream.
During the livestream, Moss said he was a “cancer survivor,” adding that he spent six days in the hospital and underwent surgery. He thanked the medical team and everyone who prayed for him.
“I'm a cancer survivor,” Moss said. “There were some difficult times, but we got through it.”
Moss said doctors discovered cancer in his bile duct, “right between the pancreas and the liver.”

“I never thought I would be in this position, even though I was as healthy as I thought I was.”
Moss retired from his role as an analyst on ESPN's “Sunday NFL Countdown” on Dec. 6.
“I'll be on set as soon as I'm healthy enough to be back with everyone. … I hope to be back with everyone soon,” Moss said.
“My goal is to get back on TV with my team.”

Moss announced in a statement to ESPN in early December that he would be absent from ESPN's “Sunday NFL Countdown” for an extended period of time to focus on personal health issues.
“(Moss) briefly addressed the issue at the beginning of his show on Dec. 1. Randy has been a valued member of the team for nearly a decade, consistently elevating 'Countdown' with his insight and passion.” “He has the full support of ESPN and we look forward to welcoming him back when he is ready.”
Moss revealed last week that he was battling illness.

“I just wanted to let the viewers know that me, my wife, and my family are fighting something inside. I have some amazing doctors around me. I couldn't miss this show. . I wanted to be here with you all,” Moss said. on ESPN's “Sunday NFL Countdown” last week.
“I'm feeling great. But if you see me with these 'Michigan inversion glasses' that I'm wearing, it's not disrespectful because I'm on TV. It means I'm fighting something.” I need all my prayer warriors. God bless you all. Thank you for your prayers. ”
During FOX NFL Sunday, several of Moss' former New England Patriots teammates voiced their support for Moss, including Tom Brady.

“One of the best teammates and friends of all time that I still keep in touch with,” Brady said during the FOX broadcast. “Our hearts are obviously with you, prayers and all the positive energy. We love you so much.”
Rob Gronkowski added, “We're thinking of you, Randy. We love you.”
Moss, 47, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018 after playing 14 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings (1998-2004, 2010), Oakland Raiders (2005-06), New England Patriots (2007-10) and Tennessee. fulfilled. Titans (2010) and San Francisco 49ers (2012).
