For the past week, Shedeur Sanders' Free Fall Down NFL Draftboard has become one of the most talked about topics in the sports world.
He was once predicted as a first round pick, but it took him the fifth time for the previous Colorado quarterback's name to come out of the board. Shortly after the Cleveland Browns chose Sanders on the final day of their annual draft, he took him to social media to share a short but emotional message, “Thank God.”
Since then, many people in the sports world and beyond have tried to analyse Sanders' decline. When he visited Churchill Downs ahead of Saturday's Kentucky Derby, Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon became one of the latest to weigh the Sanders saga.

A nine-time Pro Bowler in his celebratory career, Moon offered Sanders' advice as he prepares to start an NFL career with the Browns.
“You can't act like a cornerback when you're playing a quarterback. Quarterbacks are humble positions. You have to be respectful,” he said on Friday, appearing on “Up & Adams.”

Moon also reminded Sanders of his great responsibility to be in charge as an NFL quarterback.
“You have to be a leader. You are the face of the franchise. There's a lot of responsibility that comes with it (and) that he has to understand,” Moon added.
When asked to explain his experience in a pre-draft interview with anonymous NFL assistant coach, Chedur, he pointed out that it was the “worst formal interview” he knew.

“He's very qualified. He takes unnecessary bags. He doesn't play on time. He has a scary body language. He blames his teammates. But the biggest thing is that he's not that good.”

Despite the scrutiny received by Sanders' pre-draft process, Moon expressed optimism about the upcoming opportunities for the young Signal Carr now that he has a clean slate.

“You (Sanders) understand that you might have been wrong or gone right through the pre-draft process, but it's now drafted,” Moon said. “You're in an organization. You have the opportunity to go there and make a name for yourself. That's how you do it. That's how you attack it.
