Another ban on “Tush Push” has come before the NFL, and the team that fell into the playoffs of the Philadelphia Eagles, who made Play famous, is reportedly behind the rules change.
The Green Bay Packers submitted proposals to the NFL's competition committee on athletic basis after President Mark Murphy opposed the short yard play.
In a Q&A on the Packers team website, Murphy said he was against the play, saying he was “almost automatically down in plays below the yard.”

He also nurtured an attempt by Commander Washington to stop at the goal line during the NFC Championship Game.
“I'm not a fan of this play,” Murphy said. “There's no skill to be involved and you're automatically down first on plays below yards. The series of plays in the NFC Championship Game where the commander jumps and tries to stop them was ridiculous.
“I would like to prohibit the league from pushing or supporting runners (QBs) on this play. There was a rule that would ban this before, but it is considered too difficult for officials. It's no longer forced. Playing is bad for the game. You need to go back to banning runners from pushing.”
As the Eagles continue to rule, the NFL denies rumors of a “Tush Push” ban: “This play has evolved”
It is worth noting now that the Packers have done their own version of “Tush Push.” They also converted two of them against the Eagles in the playoffs.

But these are more traditional sneaks, instead of Jalen being pushed in by a tight end on Dallas Gaedart and chasing Saquon Berkley back from behind, making it virtually impossible to stop the play.
Hurts scored the Super Bowl Ricks' first touchdown on that play from the goal line on the way to a 40-22 victory in search of history for Kansas City history.
Other teams tried their own version of “Tush Push,” but the Eagles mastered the play and successfully hit with first conversions and touchdowns than any team that were far better than any.
During the final offseason, there was some heated debate about whether play should remain in the game, but it didn't get a vote.
