The National Hockey League announced Tuesday that a small number of Florida Panthers owners have been suspended due to social media activities.
Daggieff became a spat with a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, turning it into a debate about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the CIFU referring to Canada as “the fifth province.”
Florida and Toronto are currently facing off in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The series was pretty chippy, starting with a high hit from Leafs goalkeeper Anthony Slolarz at Sam Bennett in Florida. Later in the game, Stratz got sick on the bench and hasn't played since.
A fan named “Dr. Grizzo” has been posted on X.
CIFU replied, “In reality, being a whining anti-woman is clearly worse. A loser.”

Cifu said, “Eat S — The loser of the 51st State Anti-Semites. Israel is still forever.
CIFU then made the account private and deactivated it.
“Two days ago I posted a disappointing and inflammatory comment on social media. My actions do not reflect the standards of the Florida Panthers Organization and the Viola Family. I sincerely apologize to all those affected by my comments. I am committed to working with the NHL to correct my actions.”
