Oregon State football head coach Dan Lanning led the Ducks to a 10-0 win after his team's 39-18 win over Maryland on Saturday.
But one reporter thought it was the perfect time to ask how Donald Trump's election victory over Vice President Kamala Harris affected the locker room and his staff.

“I think it was last year that you spoke out about gun violence,” the reporter began. “I'm sure that the decisions that are made in this country will not only affect many of the players in the dressing room, but also the women around them and the women on our staff.
“What was the temperature like in the locker room and the team as a whole after the results came out? Was that what sparked the 'tell the truth' conversation?”
Mr. Lanning gave a very patriotic answer.

“Our players just work. Obviously gun violence is an issue that I'm passionate about, but our players just line up every day and go to work,” Lanning said.
“While I'm happy to be in the country I'm in and certainly proud to be an American and excited about the future of this country, I don't want to jump into politics. Not human.”
Harris won eight electoral votes in Oregon, while Trump clinched the typically red states, winning 312 electoral votes in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Nevada. . Harris received 55.26% of the vote in the Emerald State.

Overall, Trump received more than 74.6 million votes. Harris received over 70.9 million votes.
