Turn off the noise and know this. Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is the force needed to straighten out the Department of Justice, and Americans can rest assured that the weaponization of every part of our criminal justice system will soon come to a definitive end.
A strong, intelligent, dear friend and colleague, Bondi is a litigator that I have always respected and admired. After 18 successful years as a county prosecutor, she served as Florida's first AG for eight years, adhering to the rule of law and actively listening to constituents who demanded strong, safe communities.
As a former Democrat, she witnessed elitism and divisive politics firsthand from the grassroots to national politics before switching to the Republican Party in 2000. Bondi championed anti-trafficking legislation while helping bring national attention to the issue. He called on the Justice Department to be diligent and transparent in its investigation into Hunter Biden.

I believe that Mr. Bondi and President-elect Donald Trump believe that the hallmark of justice is the equal application of the law, and that this month's election “red sweep” means that voters will encourage politicians to stop the rhetoric and solve problems. I am very confident that I recognize this as evidence of what I want to do. .

When it comes to conservative criminal justice solutions, crime rate data is meaningless if Americans don't feel safe. One victim or one crime-infested community is too many. And with the pervasiveness of social media, it all feels like an immediate reality for our own families and neighborhoods.
Some Republicans have responded to voters' fears with haphazard and ineffective hard-line anti-crime policies, but responding to crime with overly punitive policies is not keeping us safe. History has proven that this is not the case.
As a former U.S. attorney, I worked closely with the Trump Administration to support the creation and passage of the landmark bipartisan First Step Act of 2018. And we can say that thoughtful, conservative criminal justice solutions are working.

Improved federal prison programs, targeted sentencing reform, and other First Step Act mandates have improved public safety. Of the 44,000 people released from federal prison under the First Step Act, only 9.7% were rearrested or reconvicted, a staggering improvement from 46.2% before 2018. It became.
As the name suggests, this landmark law was the first step for President Trump and other conservative criminal justice advocates to leverage smart crime policy solutions to improve public safety. . Conservatives can further their success by promoting thoughtful conservative policy ideas at the state, county, and federal levels.
Regardless of political affiliation, we can all agree that one victim is too many and criminals must be held accountable. Creating new crimes haphazardly or increasing penalties will not deter individual criminals. Rather, it is the predictability of being arrested that deters individuals from committing crimes.
Additionally, law enforcement in all capacities on the ground needs our support and resources. When outmoded technology and policies underestimate forces, it's no wonder that only 57.8% of murders and 26.9% of rapes are solved. Victims deserve better.

As America's next Attorney General, Mr. Bondi will encourage Americans to work together to find solutions to the criminal justice problems specific to their communities and to counter any attempts to weaponize the justice system. It will give you strength.
The Department of Justice, led by Pam Bondi, recognizes that transparency and equal application of the law are non-negotiable. And in doing so, conservatives have a real opportunity to be the adults in the room and create criminal justice solutions that are fair to all Americans today and for generations to come.
