Former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee was scathing about his old team Sunday after watching it fall from playoff contention with a loss to the New York Giants.
Indianapolis committed three turnovers and allowed four touchdown passes to Drew Lock in a 45-33 loss. The Colts fell to 7-9 on the season and were officially eliminated.
McAfee wrote a scathing post against X, criticizing the organization and blaming those who tried to get him to “boo the streets” and announced that he would not renew his season tickets.

“Those who are blind may see red flags on this team. Questions about work ethics, never happen on a good team. Questions about commitment to preparation, never happen on a good team.'' Meetings Being late/skipping treatment never happens to a good team. Franchise QB (Anthony Richardson) tapped out of the game on third down. .Because I was tired. NFL history,” McAfee wrote.
“That's literally the only thing you need to tell someone (who knows Ball) and they'll tell you everything about this team…”
He wrote that if a franchise quarterback left mid-game due to fatigue, the “immediate response” would be that the team “doesn't have a chance.”
“And to everyone's surprise…that was the reaction from everyone who has ever played or coached in this game…but Colts blogs and fans who have covered the Colts from 2020 until recently. “He knew better than anyone…he started attacking me personally and trying to run me out of town,” McAfee continued.

“If I told you right after he tapped out that Joe Flacco had a better chance of winning than AR…I would have told you no matter what backup QB was on the roster. That's not what a team should do.” That's impossible…and the bigger aspect is that somehow AR thought it was okay to do that. That's a locker room issue. It's a cultural issue. It is a manifestation of the loser attitude that spreads through society. It was built by the great people who built it.
“I don't know how to fix that. I don't think it's like a light switch. 'Okay, now I can be a pro.' But…it could be, but what do I know?”
“Oh, wait…this is how it's going to go. I knew that.”
McAfee added that he will not renew his season tickets and hopes the team can get back to winning ways.
“As a multi-year season ticket holder (not renewing) and as someone who has actively tried to contribute to this beautiful city every day. I hope they can be a good franchise again. They deserve it. The OGs in the Colts building get what they deserve (equipment management). players, trainers, ticket sales, public relations, sales). And conversely, the players and coaches in that building deserve nothing for your unwarranted arrogance. Leading to another early vacation… which is probably what most of the entitled idiots wanted.
“I don't speak for the city, and I don't speak for all former Colts players, because I was just a punter. I've been nominated for the HOF three times, but still… I'm speaking from my own perspective: I've never seen a group waste more opportunity, talent, and money than this group.
