New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson appeared to cut his time with reporters Monday after being asked about Kendrick Lamar.
Williamson was asked why Lamar's music was left off his offseason workout playlist, which caught the forward off guard.

“Jesus Christ,” Williamson said. “Why did you… Why did you ask the second question before moving on to the first part of the question?”

The reporter said he felt there were only two “good songs” on Williamson's playlist, while Lamar had a diss track to rival hip-hop artist Drake, “Euphoria” and “Not Like Us.” ” was considered a summer song.

“I hear your opinion, but you're entitled to your opinion. I'm entitled to mine,” Williamson said. “But with that said, hey, it's Kendrick Lamar. We have to sit here and talk about what a great artist he is.”
Williamson left the podium laughing.
Complex Sports noted that the playlist was first mentioned at a press conference. To Williamson's credit, he said he was listening to Notorious BIG, Nas, and Curren$y.

Williamson is coming off a season in which he played in a career-high 70 games. He averaged 22.9 points and 5.8 rebounds. The Pelicans qualified for the playoffs last season as the No. 7 seed with a 49-33 record, but were swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
