Justin Lower made a par on the 17th hole at Thursday's Player Championship, but he achieved it in an unconventional way.
The 35-year-old Lower needed a miracle to shoot a tee on the greenery of the famous island, 137 yards away, and put it in the water, saving par.
From the drop area about 80 yards away I bumped into a wedge with two big hops on top of the green, slowing it down before falling into the hole, saving pars without putting.

Hole 17 of TPC Sawgrass is known to be difficult, and this year it's the same as many players have already found water around the island's greenery.
But no one recovered.
Lower started his round on Thursday with 11 straight pars, including his par save, and was 13 holes from 13 holes after he doubled the fourth hole.
