President Trump and Prince William meet in Paris
President-elect Trump met with Prince William at the British Embassy in Paris on Saturday after attending a ceremony to reopen Notre Dame Cathedral.
President-elect Trump and Prince William shook hands on Saturday at the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, then held a sit-down meeting at the British Embassy ahead of Trump's inauguration.
President Trump and Prince William also met individually with world leaders at Notre Dame Cathedral, including French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
Prince William was seen shaking hands and talking with First Lady Jill Biden, who attended the ceremony on behalf of President Biden and representing the United States.
Prince William was asked to represent Britain at the event, and after the ceremony, Prince William and President Trump reconvened at the British Embassy in Paris to discuss the “special relationship” between Britain and the United States.

FOX News Digital has reached out to Kensington Palace and the Trump transition team for comment.
This was the first meeting between the two men since President Trump's victory. The two last met in 2019 during Trump's first term as president on a state visit to the United Kingdom.
William also met with President Biden to receive the Earthshot Award in 2022.

Trump also met with then-Prince Charles in 2019, and Clarence House said at the time that the two had a “good working relationship.”

Trump told ITV in 2019 that he had planned to meet Charles for 15 minutes during a state visit, but ended up talking about the environment for more than an hour.

“He's really passionate about climate change and I think that's great. I mean, I want that. I like that,” President Trump told ITV in 2019. “What he really wants and what he really feels warm about is the future. He wants to ensure that future generations have a good climate, not a disaster.”
