President-elect Donald Trump has revealed one thing he doesn't like during his re-election campaign: the NFL's new kickoff rules.
President Trump reiterated that point shortly after praising San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa after the star's sacking celebration, which seemed to pay tribute to the former president.

“The NFL should abolish the ridiculous new kickoff rule!” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
This was not the first time President Trump criticized the rule. When appearing on “Let's Go!”, he mentioned it as a point of contention. Podcast with sportscaster Jim Gray and former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.
“I'll tell you, I'm watching football right now, and that kickoff seems weird,” Trump said before Election Day. “That looks weird, Coach. I hope you like it, but I think it's going to hurt your game. Once you get something good, I don't think you'll change it.”
“And I don't know why it's safer. Why would it be safer? They're still crashing. … I saw it for the first time a few weeks ago and what the hell did they do to football?” I said, “Are you there?”
The president-elect mentioned the rule again during an interview with outkick Clay Travis during the Alabama-Georgia college football game.

“College football is as big as the NFL,” he said. “I don't know what they're doing with kickoff returns in the NFL. Obviously I don't want to get into controversy, but it seems like a really bad thing.
“And I realized they weren't doing that in college and they shouldn't be doing that. And I think the NFL should go back. And maybe it's a little more dangerous, but it I don't think it's even more dangerous than football.
“I think they made a terrible mistake about that.”
He also wrote about this in early September for Truth Social.

“I can't believe the NFL has effectively abolished the always exciting kickoff return. It's such an exciting part of football. What are they doing? It's the beginning of the end!”
