President Trump called on the crowd to “forgive” President Biden after comparing his supporters to trash.
“It's terrible. It's terrible,” Trump said, referring to Hillary Clinton's infamous “deplorable” comments made weeks before the 2016 presidential election. “And she said something irredeemable. It didn't work.”
The Republican candidate asked his supporters for forgiveness at a packed rally at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
“I think the trash is worse,” he said. “But he doesn't know. Please forgive him.”

“Please forgive me for not understanding what he said,” Trump said. “These people are awful, awful, awful for saying things like this. But he really doesn't get it. To be really honest, he doesn't get it. And he's more concerned about me than Kamala. I'm sure you like it. But that's terrible.”

President Trump's call for unity and forgiveness comes after he denounced the garbage of Trump supporters in a call for Latinos to vote.
“The only trash I see is his supporters,” Biden said. “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and un-American. It goes completely against everything we've done and everything we've ever been.”

Biden's comments came after Trump's rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.
“And just the other day, a speaker at a rally called Puerto Rico a 'floating island of trash.' Now, let me tell you something,” Biden said. “I don't know any Puerto Ricans that I know…or where I am in Puerto Rico, my home state of Delaware, they are good, decent, honorable people.”

Biden's remarks came just as Vice President Kamala Harris was scheduled to take the stage at a large rally in Washington, D.C.
“Earlier today, I called the hateful anti-Puerto Rican rhetoric spewed by Trump supporters at President Trump's rally at Madison Square Garden trash. That's the only word I can think of to describe it.” , Biden posted on X later that night after receiving backlash for his comments. Quick rebound.

White House Press Secretary Andrew Bates told Fox News' Jackie Heinrich that President Biden “called the hateful comments at the Madison Square Garden rally 'trash.'” .

“The president was referring to a joke by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe that compared Puerto Rico to a 'garbage' island in the middle of the ocean,” Bates said.
