President-elect Trump has selected businessman and philanthropist Warren A. Stevens to be the U.S. ambassador to the St. James Courthouse. Simply put, it is the country's representative to Great Britain.

President Trump then congratulated Stevens, his wife Harriet, their three children Miles, John and Laura, and their six grandchildren.
The announcement comes as President Trump continues to serve in several positions within his administration.

Mr. Trump's nominee will serve as chairman, president and chief executive officer of the privately-owned diversified financial services company headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, according to the Stevens Company's website.
Stevens graduated from Washington and Lee University with a bachelor's degree in economics. He then earned an MBA from Wake Forest University.

Under Mr. Stevens' leadership, the company expanded into major markets in the United States and opened offices in London, England, and Frankfurt, Germany.
Mr. Stevens also serves as Chairman of the District Action Committee of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and currently serves on the Dillard's Board of Directors.

In terms of civic and community involvement, Stevens serves as chair of the board of the Arkansas Art Museum. Arkansas Museum of Art Foundation Board of Directors. Episcopal University Schools Foundation Board of Directors. He also served on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Arkansas.
The Senate must confirm Stevens' position.
