“My DOGE Act would freeze federal hiring, begin the process of moving government agencies out of the swamps of Washington, D.C., and establish a merit-based pay system for federal employees,” Blackburn said. said.

The announcement came after Musk and Ramaswamy, who was appointed by President-elect Donald Trump to lead the effort, met with lawmakers for a day to discuss cost-cutting opportunities and goals.
