At a rally in Michigan this week, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. engaged the rally audience with a call-and-response joke.

“All you need to know are seven words: You'll never have to admit you've done anything wrong again,” President Kennedy told a Michigan audience. “So do you know what those seven words are? 'I was born middle class.'”
Kennedy instructed the rally participants to follow him and repeat a series of back and forth movements.
“Next time your boss asks you why you're late for work, what will you say?” Kennedy asked.

Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. J.D. Vance also noted the vice president's tendency to bring up his middle-class roots at a rally earlier this week.
“Of course they ask Kamala, because she's the vice president and it's because of her that we have sky-high inflation and wide-open borders. 'What are you going to do? Solve the inflation crisis. What are your specific plans to do that?’ I’m not going to be able to afford groceries or housing?’ And Kamala would say, ‘Well, you know I grew up in a middle-class family. There was a really nice lawn in Berkeley, California.'' He continued, “I'm like, 'Well, that might be true. What the hell does that have to do with lower inflation?'' ”
