“Dear players, I truly love and appreciate each and every one of you. It has been the greatest privilege to coach you because of the character of the players in the locker room. Through all the ups and downs, Each and every one of you has shown up to be attacked every day and every moment.
“To the coaches and staff, it was a pleasure working with you all. You all went 'all in' and made sacrifices for each other that will never be forgotten. Good luck to all of you. I wish you all the best for the rest of the season.
“To the most passionate fans in the NFL, thank you for accepting my family. We are so blessed to call New York home and we will be forever grateful for all the memories made here. Sho.”

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan explains why Jets fired Robert Saleh as 'pretty shocked'
“This was not an easy decision to make, but we are not in a position where expectations should be met, and we believe now is the best time to move in a different direction,” it said in a statement.
The team has a presumably healthy Aaron Rodgers at center, and the offense has been on track through the first game.
New York ranks 25th in points scored and 27th in yards allowed despite having a top-5 defense.
Rodgers performed like a 40-year-old quarterback coming back from a torn Achilles tendon. He has 1,093 passing yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions.
The exact reason for Saleh's firing is unclear, but rumors arose of a rift between Rodgers and Saleh following a bizarre exchange during the team's Week 3 win over the New England Patriots.
The buzz grew even louder after the Jets lost to the Denver Broncos in Week 4. New York only scored nine points in the game. Rodgers and Saleh both did gymnastics while trying to maintain a good relationship.
