Colorado needs help now if it wants a chance at the College Football Playoff.
The 16th-ranked Buffaloes controlled their own destiny in the bracket starting Saturday, but now face an uphill climb after a 37-21 loss to Kansas.
It was an impressive season for Colorado. They won four games last season and only one win the year before, making them 8-3.

But head coach Deion Sanders said his players seemed a little too excited.
“We're starting to smell ourselves a little bit,” Sanders said after the game. “That's what I just told the team. We got drunk on success. We got drunk on so many articles and the assumptions that we are this and the assumptions that we are that. And we didn't play CU football.'' So we got our butts kicked. ”
Well, Dion's own son, quarterback Shedur, didn't necessarily agree with this opinion.

“Personally, I'm just an overconfident person,” Schedeur said. “So you can't point that out to other people and say they're overconfident. I don't know. It's really… all of us prepared our work and did it, so people You can't know, and we can't know, no matter what you're doing on the personal side, like the spiritual side. I always think other than how someone thinks. We focus on a lot of things.”
Asked how the Buffaloes could “sober up,” referring to his father's comments, Shedeur replied, “I don't know. No comment.”

Colorado must win at home against Oklahoma State and lose some combination of Iowa State (home vs. Kansas State), Arizona State (home), or BYU (home vs. Houston) to play in the Big 12. There is. The title game is now their only path to the College Football Playoff.
