The Thunder pursuit of the first-ever NBA Championship has been alive and alive since the franchise moved to Oklahoma City.

The 125-93 victory punched tickets to the Thunder's Western Conference Finals. OKC will meet the Minnesota Timberwolves in the meeting final, which begins Tuesday.

Elsway, the New York Knicks will face the Indiana Pacers in the other NBA conference finals. The Knicks have not won the NBA Championship since 1973. The Pacers won the latest title of the year – ABA.
It will mark the league first when Commissioner Adam Silver passes one of the Larry O'Brien Trophy next month – seven championship franchises in seven years.

There have been no back-to-back NBA champions since the Golden State Warriors won in 2017 and 2018. From there, the list of champions looks like this: Last season in Toronto in 2020, Los Angeles Lakers in 2020, Milwaukee in 2021, and Denver and Boston in 2023.
It is the longest run of various champions in NBA history. Major League Baseball, the NHL, and the NFL, all went long, but there weren't that long ago.

The Nuggets performed on Sunday despite addressing what ESPN reported as “Grade 2 Hamstring Strains.” He finished his loss with eight points in 25 minutes at court.
