San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is reportedly sidelined indefinitely after missing Saturday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to an undisclosed illness.
Spurs assistant coach Mitch Johnson replaced Popovich on the bench. At the time, he said he was informed about two and a half hours before tipoff that the legendary manager would be absent from the game.

“He's not feeling well,” Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Saturday night. “It's happened before. I think everyone always has to be ready for the next player. We've had injuries, we've had illnesses, we've felt unwell, life has changed. Sometimes something happens. He just doesn't feel good.'' “
ESPN reported Monday that Popovich will be sidelined for some time. The team told the outlet that Popovich did not travel with the team for road games against the Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets.
Popovich, 75, is the NBA leader in wins with 1,390 wins. He is in his 29th season with the Spurs and has five NBA championships on his resume.

In Saturday's game, Johnson led the team and the Spurs won.
Keldon Johnson scored 25 points and Chris Paul had 15 points and 13 assists.
“Mitch did a great job,” Paul said via ESPN. “I think our entire coaching staff was like that. Things happen all the time in this league, and just like with players, it's the next guy. So, big shout out to Mitch. He was great tonight. I did my job.”
