Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens' regular season ended on a whimper, and fans at Acresure Stadium let him know Saturday night.
Pickens recorded one catch on six targets for a total of zero yards. Pittsburgh's offense was nowhere to be seen and they lost 19-17 to the Cincinnati Bengals.

The ESPN broadcast showed Pickens getting excited with fans in the stadium. One of Pickens' teammates had to step in and get him to focus on the game instead of people badmouthing him on the sideline.
Pickens did not speak to the media after the game. Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson expressed his support for him.
“I believe in George,” Wilson said via ESPN. “Listen, everything isn't always perfect for everyone. This is an imperfect match and all that. I believe in George, I believe in George. , believe in who he is, believe in who he is.

“He's been a star for us all season and will obviously be a difference-maker for us in the playoffs. I'm looking forward to that and what he can do and what we can do together. . And I don't.'' If anyone believes George, I definitely do. ”
Pickens' lackadaisical effort has been an underlying theme of the Steelers' season.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin also came out and said Pickens needs to “grow up fast.”
