The Minnesota Lynx and Connecticut Sun were in the middle of some intense basketball on Tuesday night in Game 2 of the WNBA semifinals.
Sun guard DeJonai Carrington, the league's most improved player, drove to the basket and drew a hard foul from Lynx star Kayla McBride. Carrington stood up and tried to attack McBride in the face, but teammate Marina Mabry stopped her.

“We all have to keep each other calm and focus on the goal in front of us,” Carrington said via ESPN after the game. “We know that no matter who we play, whether it's a hard foul or a cry, they're going to try us.
“We just have to stick together and make sure we’re focused on the goal, and that’s exactly what we saw there.”
This was not the only skirmish that occurred during the match. Mabry and WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Napheesa Collier were tied in the first quarter. McBride received a technical foul for hitting Mabry in the second quarter.
