The Arch Manning era began in Texas.
With Quinn Ewers declaring for the NFL Draft on Wednesday, Manning will likely get the keys to the Lamborghini for the foreseeable future. If he doesn't decide to turn pro, it's very likely that he will be the starting quarterback for at least the 2025 season, and probably the 2026 season.

“This offseason is a time for him to attack,” former Texas star Colt McCoy said via Underdog Fantasy Sports. “To work on the things that he knows he needs to work on. He played three games. What were I bad at? What were I good at? How can I do better? Can it get better? What should I do?” Are you having a good spring? …
“If you look at the Texas football team as a whole, there's a lot to build on, but Arch has a great opportunity. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, just go out and be yourself.” My Strengths Please take advantage of it.

“We're all different as quarterbacks, but we all have an edge in some way. And I think if Arch is smart, he understands, 'What's my advantage?' Masu.”
Manning was primarily used in the Longhorns' run-pass option package, giving them another weapon to deal with defenses. He started against Louisiana-Monroe and Mississippi State when Ewers was out with an injury.
Manning had 258 passing yards and two touchdowns in a 51-3 win over Louisiana-Monroe. He then played against Mississippi State and won 35-13, gaining 325 passing yards and two touchdowns. However, after Ewers returned, he returned to a backup role.
The entire offense will take a hit. Top receivers Matthew Golden and Isaiah Bond declared for the draft, and senior tight end Gunnar Helm was ineligible.
