The Atlanta Falcons' losing streak finally ended on Monday night as Kirk Cousins & Co. earned a long-awaited 15-9 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Atlanta improves to 7-7 on the year, which is a big number considering how close the NFC South is at the moment. On the other hand, the Raiders continue to be at a disadvantage with 2 wins and 12 losses.
It wasn't a pretty win, but at this point in the season with three games left after this one, a win is a win.

The Falcons' offense didn't have the breakout performance they were hoping for, but at least Cousins threw his first touchdown in five games.
Drake Rondon completed a 30-yard pass to put Atlanta ahead, ending Cousins' streak of eight interceptions and zero touchdowns.
However, this was the only time the Falcons were able to find the end zone, as many drives stalled inside the Raiders' territory, leading to Yonghoe Koo's field goal attempts.

Gu made 2 out of 3 attempts during his attempts, but only scored 13 points offensively.
Defensively, the Falcons struggled with Raiders quarterback Desmond Ridder, who started against his former team in place of injured Aidan O'Connell.
When the Falcons shut down their run game (allowing 65 total yards for the entire game with Cynthia McCormick out with an injury early on), Ridders was forced to throw and threw an interception while being sacked three times.
Atlanta also managed to force Alexander Mattison to fumble while continuing to make plays that turned the field over.

But while the game was a long one, it ultimately came down to Ridder in the final playoffs, as Las Vegas got the ball down by six points and needed a touchdown and an extra point to win.
Ridder threw two Hail Marys into the end zone, but the first one fell incomplete and Falcons star safety Jesse Bates III received the last one to secure the victory.
So on the stat sheet, Cousins was just 11-of-17 for 112 yards. He also threw another interception to go with a touchdown.
The Falcons were dominated by the ground game, with Bejan Robinson carrying 22 times for 125 yards and Tyler Allgaier adding 43 yards on 12 carries.

For the Raiders, Jakobi Meyers led the way in receiving yards with 59 yards and completed 23-of-38 passes, accounting for most of Ridder's 208 yards. Amir Abdullah, the Raiders' lone touchdown scorer, also had seven catches for 58 yards.
