Revenues for the Philadelphia Eagles continued on Tuesday when CJ Gardner Johnson's name was linked to the trade report.
Multiple reports say the defensive back was traded for the Houston Texans in exchange for offensive lineman Kenyon Green. The trade package will also send the 2026 fifth draft pick to Super Bowl champion Eagles. In addition to Gardner Johnson, Houston will win a future six-round pick.

The 2024 season marked Gardner Johnson's second stint with the Eagles after playing first against the Philadelphia in 2022. He left after that season and spent the 2023 campaign with the Detroit Lions.
Gardner-Johnson rejoined the Eagles last year and signed a three-year contract with the team.

He was a key part of the Eagles' proud defense last year, finishing the regular season with six interceptions. Gardner-Johnson also recorded six interceptions with the Eagles two seasons ago.
Despite the possibility that he will be wearing another uniform next season, Gardner Johnson has suggested that the Eagles and the City of Philadelphia will continue to hold a special place in his heart.
“I'm your Philadelphia, we're forever champions,” he wrote on X, previously known as Twitter.
Gardner Johnson's relationship with the Eagles fanbase seems tense at times. Shortly after the initial stint with the team was over, he characterized at least the Philadelphia resident as “unpleasant.”
“My favorite thing is… people,” Gardner Johnson said on Twitch Live Stream in 2023. He added that he enjoyed the weather in the city.

The 27-year-old sparked some controversy when he targeted Travis Kelce, shortly after the Eagles won the second Vince Lombardi Trophy in franchise history, and soon after he acquired his romantic partner, Taylor Swift, in a social media post.
In a vulgar caption of herself engaged to Kelse on a soccer field, Gardner Johnson suggested that Kelce “should have stayed” with her ex-girlfriend. He doubled his stance when he arrived at the Eagles' Super Bowl victory parade and arrived in a hoodie with the words “Swifties Can My B —-“.

The Florida restaurant owned by Gardner-Johnson's mother, Del Johnson, was targeted by fans who attacked the message displayed on the NFL star's attire. King's Grill in Rockledge, Florida, has received a surge in negative Yelp reviews.
Fans of singer Taylor Swift, often referred to as “Swift,” appeared to be at least the head of the first stream of bad Google reviews and the negative Yelp reviews for King's Grill. The unfavorable reviews were later removed, and Yelp placed an “unusual activity alert” on the restaurant page, “temporarily disabling content postings.”

The Eagles were able to hold linebacker Zach Boun, but Josh Sweatt and Milton Williams reportedly agreed to a deal with other NFL teams this week. Meanwhile, defensive backs Darius Slay and James Bradbury have been released.
Philadelphia appeared to be dealing with the backup quarterback role by swapping Kenny Pickett for the Cleveland Browns in exchange for the fifth draft pick and Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
