Carly reportedly smacked Johnson in the face and caused her to bleed his nose. Police reportedly said the injuries were “consistent with her statement.”
Carly was scheduled to run in the Grand Slam Track event on Saturday with a 100-meter dash and on Sunday with the 200-meter dash. The event later confirmed that Carly would not compete.
The New York Post reported that Carly was booked on a first-degree misdemeanor charge.
In January, Carly was hit with domestic violence charges in an unrelated incident last year after being arrested after an argument with police.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Fox News Digital, Kerley and his wife had a verbal physical conflict on May 6, 2024 – his birthday – when Kerley's wife was in contact with “an unknown person on Instagram.”

According to the affidavit, Carly approached his wife aggressively, and she punched him out of fear. Carly then grabbed the victim, pushed her into the ground, surrounded her arms around her neck, preventing her from breathing.”
An alert for a possible cause was then broken into the prison system, and he was later charged after his arrest in January.
Carly won a bronze medal in the 100 metres in Paris in the summer, and teammate Noah Lyles won his first Olympic gold. Carly won the 2022 World Championship at the event and Silver at the Tokyo Olympics.
He also won the World Championships with a 4x400m relay in 2019 and a 4x100m relay in 2023.
Carly is part of Paris' 4x100m team and was disqualified due to a failed handoff. I thought Lyles was part of that team, but got sick with Covid earlier in the week.
